Linda Wells

I am a native Texan from Victoria, and have been painting since high school and throughout my careers as a U. S. Marine, Art Director for two companies and illustrator/designer for Texas Parks & Wildlife. I studied art at Victoria College and Texas Academy of Art in Houston and I continue to improve with study and experimentation.
I painted several hunting and fishing stamps during my nine years with Texas Parks & Wildlife and have recently renewed my interest in wildlife painting. Although versatile and skilled in most mediums, oils and pastels are my favorites. Actually pastels have almost become an obsession. Getting one's hands messy in the pastels is as much fun as making mud pies when I was a kid.
The majority of my work could be called representational. However, several pieces can best be described as abstract landscape. I have had several one woman and small group shows and have won several awards. I welcome you to my studio in my home in Lakeway and a display of my art with an inspiring view of Lake Travis in the background
